How to use Creator Coin Hub to automatically post to Discord when you've gone live on Twitch (or other events)

by mrq02

The objective of this article is to teach you how to automatically post to your community on Discord when you have gone live on Twitch. However, these same instructions can be used for pretty much any event that CCH allows. For example, if you wanted to post when you got a Rogue Energy sale, the only difference would be the event source and the wording of the title and post.

After signing up for (or logging into) Creator Coin Hub, click the event icon in the menu on the left, click "Automations" in the submenu that appears, and then click "New Automation".

After the form pops up, select "twitch" for the event type, "stream.online" for the event, "Discord" for the type, and "POST" for the sub-type.

Now we will need to go over to Discord to get a webhook URL for CCH to POST to. In Discord, click the gear for "Edit Channel" of the channel you want the posts to be in. Then click "Integrations" on the left. Then "Webhooks" in the center. And then create a "New Webhook". After naming it, click "Copy Webhook URL".

Come back to the form in CCH and paste that into the URL address.

Then fill in the rest of the other fields. For the "Image URL", I recommend using this URL, simply replacing "mrq02" with your own Twitch username. This will provide a snapshot of your stream to your users. https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/previews-ttv/live_user_mrq02-480x270.jpg?r=@RANDOM_NUMBER_1000@

Here is an example of what this will post.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or other widgets you might like created! I can be found on Twitter and Discord. Have a great day, and good luck with your stream! mrq02
